The llama is a symbol of good fortune
For the Inca people, the llama was a sacred animal, one that guaranteed good health, gold and silver, in short, good fortune. Plus, they’re beautiful, docile, perceptive, hard-working creatures, friendly to everyone who approaches them. The Incas made them kind, hard-working, docile and affectionate.
Llamas are considered a higher being. Having a llama brought health, wealth, fertility and good luck. Their wool is unlike any other: it’s the best in the world. All of that llama goodness went into this art project, where we have honored these creatures in every ceremony so they bless all those who want an NFT of the most intelligent, generous and gracious animal alive.
Llamas also made news in the world of medicine in 2020. Their immunological system produces nanobodies—tiny fragments of antibodies, much smaller than human antibodies—that have potential for COVID-19 treatments.
Scientists have also been testing synthetic versions of llama nanobodies to treat diseases like cystic fibrosis.
